BSP rebel Swami Prasad Maurya loses Assembly enrollment
Lucknow, Sep 19: Uttar Pradesh Assembly Speaker Mata Prasad Pandey today precluded Swami Prasad Maurya, a dissident BSP pioneer who later surrendered to BJP, from the participation of the House.
An official discharge issued here said the Speaker has acknowledged a request by BSP Legislature Party Leader Gaya Charan Dinkar in such manner and Maurya stops to be individual from the House with impact from June 22.
Dinakar had moved a request refering to the declaration made by Maurya at a public interview on June 22 and resulting activities to demonstrate that Maurya hosted all alone quit the gathering on whose ticket he had been chosen.
Refering to different principles, the BSP said Maurya is no more qualified to be an individual from the gathering as he quit it on his will thus he ought to be excluded from the state Assembly and offices and payments he appreciates as a MLA be pulled back with impact from June 22.
Maurya, who hosted quit the gathering saying he felt “choked” and blaming BSP boss Mayawati for “unloading” tickets for 2017 Assembly surveys, hence joined BJP.
As indicated by Vidhan Sabha authorities, Maurya, who was Leader of Opposition before he cleared out BSP, was given two chances to present his case yet he neglected to turn up before the Speaker on both the events, giving different reasons.
