Delhi University UG Admissions 2024-25:Â Delhi University has announced the first allocation list for undergraduate admissions for the 2024-25 academic year. In the initial round of the Common Seat Allotment System (CSAS), 97,387 candidates have been offered various program and college combinations.
To allocate the 71,600 sanctioned seats, the university evaluated 5,682,017 unique cutoffs and ranks, according to the official release. Out of 245,287 candidates who applied for Phase 1 of CSAS-UG, 185,543 completed Phase 2 by submitting their preferences for programs and colleges, resulting in a total of 17,218,187 preferences.
This year, a new feature has been introduced on the candidate dashboard, allowing users to view cutoff details and ranks based on their category and quota. Delhi University will display the common rank, cut-off rank, program-specific CUET score, and cutoff score for all applied programs. Admissions will be based on the Common Rank, meaning that meeting the cutoff score alone does not guarantee admission. Candidates with identical CUET scores may receive different ranks due to revised tie-breaking rules.
Ranks will not be assigned for performance-based programs (B.A. (Hons) Music, BSc (PE, HE&S), BFA) and certain supernumerary quotas (Sports, ECA, CW, and Ward). The revised tie-breaking rules are as follows:
Higher percentage in the Best 3 subjects of Class 12.If still tied, preference for a higher percentage in the Best 4 subjects of Class 12.If needed, based on the Best 5 subjects of Class 10.Age of the candidate, with older candidates given preference.Alphabetical order of names.
In the first allocation round, additional allocations have been made to optimize seat filling, with the academic session set to start on August 29, 2024.
