Patna, Apr. 5: Attempting to give the saffron party kudos for the alcohol boycott in Bihar, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) pioneer Sushil Modi on Tuesday said Chief Minister Nitish Kumar-drove government took the choice under weight.
“This has been our interest subsequent to long that if the alcohol must be banned in the state then it ought to be totally banned and not somewhat. We continued pressurizing the legislature over this,” .
“We are glad that the weight forced by the BJP worked and the Chief Minister needed to pronounce a complete restriction on alcohol in the state. We are with this legislature on this activity,” he included.
Four days after proclamation of halfway forbiddance in Bihar on April 1, the Nitish Kumar government today chose to force an aggregate prohibition on liquor in towns and urban communities.
The choice to boycott deal and utilization of India Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) in civil and town gathering zones with quick impact was taken at a Cabinet meeting, the Chief Minister told journalists here.
The Nitish Kumar government had banned deal and utilization of nation and spiced alcohol in provincial territories from April 1 this year, yet had permitted offer of outside alcohol in towns and urban communities.
