HC gives transitory relief to Prakash Jha-claimed Mall

Patna, May 3: Film-producer Prakash Jha possessed P and M Mall, the lease of which was scratched off by the powers, got an impermanent alleviation today with the Patna High Court coordinating that no stride can be taken against it till May 5.

Equity Jyoti Saran gave the request and coordinated the state government and Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (BIADA) to record nitty gritty report on the subject.

The matter would be heard next on May 5.

BIADA had as of late crossed out the lease of P and M Mall, the city’s first shopping center, on the ground of infringement of lease conditions.

Situated in Patliputra Industrial region of the city, P and M Mall was initiated by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in 2011.

The shopping center having a region of around 58,300 sq feet houses the state’s first multiplex, other than shopping mind boggling and select showrooms of multinational brands.

The lease was wiped out after it was found that the shopping center powers abused the condition to pay a circle rate of 10 for each penny to the state government ashore sub rented to different gatherings, Industries Minister Jai Kumar Singh had said.

The P and M Mall is among 100-odd allotees whose lease have been ended for abusing condition.

“According to BIADA gauge, a measure of Rs 2.60 crore is because of the state government by virtue of circle rate installment out of sub rent however the Mall has submitted just Rs 40 lakh,” the priest had said.
