ICC pulls back two-level Test proposition under weight from BCCI
New Delhi, Sep 7: The International Cricket Council today pulled back its petulant proposition of having a ‘Two-Tier’ Test framework taking after “energetic resistance” from world’s wealthiest cricketing body BCCI with the backing of Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe and Bangladesh.
“The two-level Test framework proposition, which should come up for dialog amid the two-day Chief Executives Committee (CEC) meeting in Dubai has been forgotten about remembering the protests raised by four individuals. The ICC will now take a gander at the entire viewpoint,” a source in the ICC told.
BCCI president Anurag Thakur, who has been a vocal faultfinder of this move naming it an impeding and retrograde stride for the monetarily weaker countries, respected the move.
“I am grateful to the individuals from the ICC who comprehended our perspective and consented to forget about this proposition.
