Malegaon Blast: Shiv Sena targets UPA, requests activity against ATS authorities
New Delhi, May 13: The Shiv Sena on Friday made light of the continuous contention over the spotless chit given to Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur in the 2008 Malegaon impact case and named the whole scene to be ‘sham’, including that it was an endeavor made by previous union home P. Chidambaram and the NCP government in Maharashtra to focus on the pioneers having connection with the saffron outfits.
Shiv Sena representative Sanjay Raut requested an exhaustive test against those Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) officers whom he affirmed of contriving the succession of occasions for this situation.
“This contention was planned against our pioneers, the entire case was counterfeit. May it be Sahdvi Pragya or Colonel Purohit. This entire case was fabricated…And the motto of Hindu terrorism was authored. The then home pastor P. Chidambaram alongside the NCP government’s home clergyman of Maharashtra wove this discussion. We in the Shiv Sena request that this entire case ought to be closed as there is nothing for this situation… In what manner would you be able to brand Colonel Purhit, who battled for the nation, a terrorist?” Raut told ANI.
“The ATS, which was examining the case, took the announcement of individuals by laying barbarities on them. Presently, I need that every one of the ATS officers, who gave false pertinence to this case, ought to be arraigned and a departmental request ought to be logged against them as they have put forth a false defense,” he included.
The NIA today recorded its chargesheet in the September 2008 Malegaon impacts case and dropped the names of Sadhvi Pragnya Singh Thakur and four others as ‘denounced’.
The Malegaon 2008 impact case was a first case in which Hindu radicals, including Lt. Colonel Prasad Shrikant Purohit and Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur were chargesheeted in 2009 by the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad.
The NIA assumed control over the case in 2011.
