Have no cash to refund to home purchasers: Unitech

New Delhi, Aug 12: Beleaguered land firm Unitech Ltd today communicated its failure under the steady gaze of the Supreme Court to discount cash to the home purchasers over its two postponed lodging ventures in Noida and Gurgaon.

“We don’t have cash. On the off chance that we had cash, we would have built the pads and structures and given to them,” senior pushed A M Singhvi, the advice for Unitech Ltd, told a seat of Justices Dipak Misra and U Lalit said.

The seat demonstrated to Singhvi that the firm will need to pay the cash back to financial specialists and requested that the level purchasers outfit subtle elements of those inspired by looking for discount and the amount of sum from the manufacturer.

The guidance for some level purchasers of Unitech’s Burgundy venture in Noida and Vistas in Gurgaon told the seat that they don’t need their cash back however they need their home.

More than two dozen home purchasers of Unitech’s lodging ventures in Noida and Gurgaon have drawn closer the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC) after the developer neglected to give them ownership of the pads according to the booked.

The purchaser discussion has asked the land firm to discount the cash to home purchasers with premium.

The summit court had a month ago requested that the organization store a break punishment of Rs 5 crore with the court registry after the firm tested a request of the purchaser gathering which had requested that the designer pay Rs 5 crore punishment to three purchasers of its Burgundy venture.

The court had said that the punishment stored with the court will be recompensed to the purchasers or came back to Unitech, contingent upon the result of the case.
