Pak emissary visits Geelani in healing facility

New Delhi, Mar 11: Pakistan High Commissioner Abdul Basit on guidelines of his Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif today went by hardline Kashmiri separatist pioneer Syed Ali Shah Geelani at a doctor’s facility here and passed on all the best to him.

A ‘Quran Khawani’ (recitation of Quran) was likewise held at the Pakistan High Commission with extraordinary petitions to God for Geelani’s wellbeing, Manzoor Ali Memon, Press Counselor at the Pakistan High Commission, said.

“High Commissioner of Pakistan Mr Abdul Basit on guidelines from Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif went by Hurriyat pioneer Syed Ali Shah Geelani at a Delhi doctor’s facility and passed on to him all the best and requests to God” for the benefit of the Premier and the general population of Pakistan, he said.

Geelani was admitted to Max Hospital, Saket, yesterday after he griped of windedness and his condition was the previous evening depicted as steady by specialists.

Sharif had yesterday itself wished a rapid recuperation for Geelani while hailing the Kashmiri separatist’s “relentless administration” which he said was a “signal of flexibility” for the general population of Jammu and Kashmir.

In a message, Sharif for the benefit of the general population of Pakistan and all alone sake “appealed to God for full and rapid recuperation of Hurriyat pioneer Syed Ali Shah Geelani.”

“The Prime Minister said Syed Geelani’s relentless initiative is a reference point of opportunity for the general population of Jammu and Kashmir. We petition God for his brisk recuperation and great wellbeing,” an official explanation had said yesterday.
