Rupee picks up 15 paise against dollar in ahead of schedule exchange
Mumbai, Mar 14: Rupee fortified by 15 paise to 66.90 against the dollar in ahead of schedule exchange at Interbank Foreign Exchange, expanding its upward walk for a fourth straight day on maintained offering of the US coin by exporters and banks in the midst of higher opening in the household value market.
Forex merchants said other than offering of the American unit by exporters and banks, shortcoming in the dollar against some different monetary standards abroad, bolstered the rupee.
Further, a higher opening in the local value market impacted the rupee uptrend, they included.
On Friday, the rupee had picked up 2 paise to end at 67.05 for every dollar on offering of the American money by banks and exporters in perspective of supported outside capital inflows into values.
In the mean time, the Sensex surged by 232.32 focuses or 0.94 for each penny to 24,950.31 in ahead of schedule exchange.
