Jammu/Tawang, Aug 18: Union Textiles Minister Smriti Irani today attached rakhi to a few warriors sent at the Siachen Base Camp, the most noteworthy combat zone on the planet, on the event of ‘Raksha Bandhan’ and commended their endeavors.
The clergyman flew into the Siachen base-camp, situated on the nose of the galcier, at 9.22 AM and was gotten by senior armed force officers, a protection representative said.
Irani laid a wreath at the Siachen War Memorial. She later tended to the jawans and adulated them for their devotion to obligation.

Union Minister for Commerce and Industry Nirmala Sitharaman likewise fixing rakhi to the jawans at Lumla in Arunchal Pradesh’s Tawang area.
